The first newsletter is thus available now here; the next issue will be published after the next PMT meeting planned in Mysore, India, in December 2013.

The DIFFER consortium gathered in Durban, South Africa, from the 19th to the 21st of February, on the occasion of the yearly Project Management Team (PMT) meeting. Representatives of all partner organizations and members of the Scientific Advisory Board attended the event. The prime objective of the meeting was to share results obtained during the first 18 months of the project and to plan the next phase of activities.

The DIFFER project was officially launched after a two-day kick-off workshop in Mombasa, Kenya. From Wednesday 12 October to Friday 14 October representatives of the six partner agencies gathered in Mombasa to discuss the project and plan the activities of the first 18-months. The work shop was followed by a public launching event inviting key Kenyan stakeholders.
